P Money and Novelist, two MCs who have been at the forefront of the Lewisham Grime scene for the better part of the last decade, have come together for ‘Tell Me I’m Lying‘, a high-powered offering produced by the legendary Silencer (formerly known as Teddy Music).
As soon as we hear the iconic “Teddy” producer-tag over the heavy synths (which sound akin to heavy metal basslines), P Money asserts the position of Grime in the UK music scene since it’s inception, before launching a volley of punchline-laden bars about his own status in the scene. On the other end of P‘s infectious hook is Novelist, who also attacks the instrumental with the stereotypical South London aggression and his storied flow.
