We love seeing brand new talent burst onto the scene, and Razor‘s show on Reprezent Radio did exactly that over the weekend, introducing us to to the talent of Derby-based selecta Medley P, who made his debut on live radio joined by two Grime heavyweights in Manga St Hilare and Jammz.
Spinning a massive variety of instrumentals in the realm of 140bpm, from a refix of Jammz‘s own ‘French Montana Riddim‘ to a Punjabi Garage banger courtesy of The Daytimers, and even having the MCs spit over ‘Killing Moon‘ – a jungle-inspired track taken from ‘Street Fighter 3: First Strike‘.
Although the selections were a different world for Jammz and Manga‘s bars (and even a couple of quick lyrics from Razor himself), the duo shelled down the session and combined with their larger-than-life personalities, resulted in an incredibly entertaining and impressive set – a good sign of things to come for Medley P.
Take in the visuals of the set above, and listen to Razor‘s full show on Reprezent to hear the preceding interview with Choze and the Brixton Chamber Orchestra, and a guest mix from Lolingo HERE.
