The late Depzman – real name Joshua Ribera – has been re-introduced to our screens to deliver an important message, appearing in visuals created by deepfake technology for ‘Life Cut Short‘ – a single that warns of the dangers of knife crime.
The Birmingham city starboy’s life was taken back in 2013, but due to efforts by his mother Alison Cope, the Joshua Ribera Foundation, and the late SBTV founder Jamal Edwards, we’ve constantly been reminded of his impact over the last nine years, both as a standout MC and as a tragic victim of the knife crime epidemic sweeping the UK.
‘Life Cut Short‘ features lyrics written by Depzman himself, Alison Cope, and youth music mentor ShadowCV, detailing the long-lasting grief and emotional effects of knife crime.
