Veteran Meridian-based MC Bossman Birdie honours the roots of the Grime scene with his latest single ‘Pirate Station‘, featuring a guest verse from fellow North Londoner JME and a silky smooth hook by Lauren Murray. After a brief cameo from Heartless Crew‘s MC Bushkin, the two MCs reminisce on their come-ups, coming from the era of Pirate Radio, and touch on the legacy they’re trying to leave on the scene. Although the two high-level lyricists have displayed more energetic bars in the past, ‘Pirate Station‘ has the MCs trading their usual high-octane styles for a more subdued style.
