Nottingham-based Grime star Mez has released his first vocal project of the year in the form of his ‘Meztape Vol.1‘ EP, housing features from Frisco, P Money, Hitman Hyper, Badness, and Ace1.

Having already proved himself countless times as a wicked MC over the years, Mez takes ‘Meztape Vol.1‘ as an opportunity to experiment with his sound and themes (although there are still plenty of trademark Mez Grime sonics to go around!) – from interpolating Clipse‘s legendary hip-hop release ‘Grindin‘ to the drilly 808’s found in ‘Sauvignon Blanc‘.

Calling on some notable guest features for the EP, which include Grime Hall-of-Famer’s P Money and Frisco on ‘Woiya‘ and longstanding Grime veteran Hitman Hyper on the woodwind-tinged ‘Naughty‘, the chemistry between Mez and his features result in high-quality, yet organic, collaborations.
