Continuing his meteoric rise over the last few years, Big Zuu has just dropped his highly anticipated debut album ‘Navigate’ independently through his ‘Big Joints’ label.
The huge success of his ‘Big Eats’ show on channel Dave which was nominated for a Bafta amongst numerous other accolades and re-commissioned for a second season have seen Zuu’s fame spread. Living the dream on the pitch for Soccer Aid. Publishing his own cook book. It has been an incredible 2021 for Zuu. And he now will see in the year with this full length 12 track project. And his exploding television presence has in no way hindered his musical output.
Zuu was able to successfully navigate the lockdown period, despite having to reschedule the album release date due to his busy filming schedule, as singles ‘I Did It’ ft Mae Muller, ‘Variation’ ft D Double E, ‘Magical’, ‘Stand Up Tall’ and title track ‘Navigate’ all fed in to the excitement for this release. The album launches alongside single ‘Offline’ featuring Jme & Novelist.

The 12 track project manages to fuse the energy and passion of old school Grime with the sonics of current rap. Big Zuu encapsulates the ear of the modern music listener by crossing multiple genres across the full album. There’s features from Grime legends like D Double E and Jme to be heard alongside AJ Tracey, Kojey Radical and Unknown T. It’s great to see long time collaborator Crafty make an appearance also on ‘Don’t Get Emotional’. Opting to trust the mix and master in the reliable hands of Joker, who has been responsible for a number of recent British classics.
Zuu himself said:
Here it is. My debut album. Years of work. I wanna thank every single person who helped me create this music and all the people who supported me to get to this point in life without you I am nothing. Enjoy the songs and take them in with time, this one is here to last. pic.twitter.com/fcAG9TqxR4
