Skepta – Eyes on Me (Leak)

Being uploaded on the 5th anniversary of his Mercury-award winning album ‘Konnichiwa‘, we were treated to a leak of a previously unheard Skepta single from late 2020 titled ‘Eyes On Me‘. Although we don’t know who’s on the buttons for the instrumental, it doesn’t take much to recognise the iconic sample from More Fire Crew‘s ‘Oi!‘ instrumental, while the greaze connoisseur spits venom over the track, in what could very well be the last track recorded by the superstar, after he hinted at retiring from music once he drops his next couple of tracks.

J-Wing – Raw & Uncut Freeze FM

Freeze FM is often held in high regard as one of the pioneering pirate radio stations in the early days of Grime, hosting everyone from Wiley, Kano, NASTY Crew, Musical Mob Royale, and so many stars born from the genre. Now, we have been gifted a brand new mini-doc full of unseen footage from the pioneering station, put together by Blackcrown Music‘s J-Wing, immortalising the energy and pure Grime essence that was ever so present in the scene in the early 2000’s.

Boasting features from Ghetts, Devlin, and Novelist, amongst others, ‘Substance‘ is a well-rounded project taking on a variety of instrumental styles and energies throughout every track.

Liverpool’s KOJ teamed up with producer group The Mouse Outfit for two thought-provoking offerings titled ‘Busy‘ and ‘Digeridoo‘, with both tracks receiving a visual courtesy of Vision In Colour. ‘Digeridoo‘ serves as a brooding reflection of KOJ‘s lifestyle as he swerves through the slow instrumental, while ‘Busy‘ is a livelier offering with KOJ asking questions about his present life and his future.
